Stockings? Fashion NO or ok?
Would it look really awful to wear stockings and closed toe shoes to a dressy event (but not wedding dressy - like country club dressy) this time of year? I have a really beautiful silk lily pulitzer dress I am going to wear and I don't want to ruin it with the stockings but, it is a bit above the knee and, although my legs are fine otherwise I am really self conscious of the veins I have since DC #2 and the stockings cover it perfectly. What do you think?

I wear stockings when I wear a dress. I think it looks more dressy to do so.

I'm anti-stockings too but my legs are such a mess that I just had to do this. I just got the sheerest ones possible and the closest to my skin tone. My friend told me she didnt even realize that I had them on until I pointed it out.

I have the same problem with my legs.
I always feel like stockings make any dress look frumpy... So, the solution is to get a fake tan.  Makes the veins look much less visible!

I feel like dress always looks better without sheer stockings, so can you spray tan your legs? I think that would look great and they have good sprays even at drugstores...if not...no biggie..

Stockings scream older woman to me. I won't wear them because I don't want to feel old  I use the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs - the stuff is so easy to use, doesn't rub off, and makes my legs look fantastic!

I would wear stockings. I don't have anything against them though. Nor do I think they make people look frumpy.
