breast feeding ?
I never breast fed with my first and was really upset about it all because i didnt know what i was doing and was afraid to ask for help. This time i want to try so bad but never got to make it to a class because my MIL was diagnosed with lung CA and then mets to brain and me being nurse seems to be the one that had to take on the full care of her and understood what was going on. Im due may25th and im afraid i wont try again just because of the fear of not knowing. This seems to be the only part of the this baby i dont seem ready for. Any suggestions. I am apart of a mommy group and have attended a few Le Leche meetings but i feel that without the real baby here it isnt the same.

Re: breast feeding ?
I would make sure that when you deliver you let them know that you would like to really have some time with the hospital's lactation nurse. Then you can speak with them and ask them tons of questions.
I'm sure they can even help set up an at-home visit to have a lactation nurse come and help you at home a couple of times.

Re: breast feeding ?
I agree with getting a lactation nurse.
You did more than I did by this point and I BF DS until 21 months! The key is in support and resources after baby is born. I mostly went online to LLL forums. Some of it is extreme but a lot was useful. Basically, I learned supply follows demand by a few days so when baby needs more, nurse as much as baby wants until your supply catches up...

ITA. I read The Womanly Art of BFing right before I went onto labor and spoke to an LC in the hospital after DD was born. When I ran into trouble, I hired an LC to come to my house for a consultation. DD is 5.5 months and still EBF, and I think the LC consultation was the best money I ever spent.
