SIGH !
I can't seem to get my 2 month old baby to socialize with me! All she seems to do is eat and sleep. I'm afraid all the sleep is going to hinder her development! She doesn't even like being held anymore ever since we introduced her to the swing last week. She seems so cranky all the time, I don't know, is there something wrong with her? She's been acting all weird for a week now, ever since she got her immunization shots last Wednesday. I'm trying so hard to figure what's making her soo unhappy!
And I'm still waiting for her first real smile. She fake smiles in her sleep and while she's feeding all the time, but when will she reward me with a real one?
FYI - She was born one month pre-mature.
Anyone have any advice on how to deal?

Re: SIGH !
She's just getting used to her new environment and the swing may remind her of the motions she felt when she was in the womb. I'm sure she's developing great and there is a lot of brain development going on when she sleeps so don't worry about that.
You're doing a great job!

My DD didn't give me a real real smile till she was 3 mos- at least that is when i noticed they were done on purpose. Don't worry too much, each child is different. I don't remember much interaction with mine at 2 mos.

Re: SIGH !
She's sleeping because she needs it...don't worry. She's a growing little baby! If she was premature I would guess she may be a few wks behind on smiling and stuff, but she's only 2 mos, give it time. If it would help you feel better you could always call your ped and ask them.

Does she look at you when you talk to her or respond to your voice?
