Online research of neighborhoods....help!!!!
We know a few neighborhoods we would like to start looking in, but don't want to leave any stone unturned....where did you research online????
I'm finding nothing!!

Generally I'd look at
http://www.city-data.com/
and zillow.com
Take info from both places and go from their.
Here's another option if Cost of Living is a concern for you:
Just google it

I think the issue you have is that the information is all in different spots. School info in one spot, demographics in another.
I would narrow it down to a location i.e. South Shore Nassau county and work from there.
Getting opinions here are always a good place to start, but don't let some peoples peception put you off. for example some may say a SD isn't good but the test scores/ranking may not support that opinion.

I use a bunch of places....2 that I frequent are
Newsday Shool test results
and I look at the individual town on wikipedia

I also used this website to search for sex offenders living in the neighborhoods we looked at.
It can be a little scary but it's good to know you're not buying a house next to a child predator.
