Mother's Day...eat in or out

How did everyone's Mother's Day go?
Did you eat home or go out? What did you have to eat?

I had breakfast at IHOP (yummy!) and then we went to my MIL's house for BBQ...love love BBQ!

Mother's day is a very tough day for me, usually don't celebrate it. this year I had dinner at a very good friend's house with some great people. Had a wonderful day!

DH and I went overboard and we had too much food. Our parents complained that we had too much food and it was awful. They all wouldn't stop b!tch!ng about it. Sorry we tried to feed you well. We didn't push any of it on them, they were free to pick and choose, so I don't see the problem.

These items were big hits and quickly went:
-homemade bacon and onion quiche (with crust)
-blueberry crumb cake (So good!)
-banana chocolate chip cookies
-chocolate raspberry bon-bons
-french toast
-sausage
-chocolate chip banana bread
-fresh blueberries
-mini mozz, sundried tomato, basil and pesto sandwiches

These items didn't even get touched:
-plain bagels
-plain cream cheese/lox cream cheese/cinn. walnut cream cheese
-various rolls
-1 lb. deli meat- chicken breast
-1 lb. deli meat- roast beef
-1 lb. deli cheese- swiss
-homemade chocolate walnut biscotti
-homemade pumpkin cranberry muffins
-fresh pineapple
-fresh stawberries
-fresh bananas
-mini brie and cucumber sandwiches
