a cruise to nowhere
Has anyone of done one of these? We have be considering a weekend getaway for the 3 of us and thought this might be a decent option.

Is it 1 night or 2 nights?
I did a 1 night on the Norwegian Dawn in '06 for my bachelorette party and it was a blast but I wouldn't do it for a weekend getaway.
It was perfect for a bach party but not nearly long enough to be considered a "vacation" at all. We weren't even on the boat a whole 24 hours... got on at 12, boat left the port at 5, cruised around and we were back by 7am that next morning and off by 9am. At least with a 2-night you have that whole next day on the ship.
I'd find one that is at least 2 nights, 3 would be ideal.

A bunch of girlfriends and I did this a few years ago on the Norwegian Dawn. It was a fun overnight trip, but to make it a mini family vacation i'd probably try to find a 2-3 night cruise.
