when do you pack?

we are hoping to close on our new house between 6/15 - 7/1. when do we start packing? how long does this take realistically? we have a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo so our place isn't huge but I am sure it still take forever

It took me 5 weeks to pack little by little. I also had a newborn, but I did a little at a time.

i would start doing it now, little by little. I only had one room to pack but i'm glad I started early! I started to collect empty boxes @ work, and packed a lot of the stuff I was not using from day to day and then before the move is when I took the last of it, but was glad to be done w/ everyone else. good luck and congrats!

I started packing up my 1 bedroom co-op early ( I lived there alone). I packed up all decorative slowly... a box or 2 a week so that everything I didn't need in the furniture was out of the way! Then I packed all out of season clothes in my suitcases like 2 weeks before.
We were able to start moving stuff in the garage and basement at the new house while they worked there for 3 weeks before moving.

i started packing little by little as soon as the inspection went through lol. i started getting boxes from work and packing up things i knew we wouldnt need for awhile.

We have the same closing date and I've been packing slowly over the last few weeks. I found I could really go through my stuff and donate what we don't want/need and pack and mark boxes neatly.
