IVF girls - how many injections

Hi girls -

I'm starting my stims on May 15th and I have offically received them all in the mail (my fridge is filled with medication, ha!)

I still have to sit down with my Doctor and go through my protocol, but I was just wondering how many injections you girls gave yourself daily?

I was reading through some of the IVF journals and I saw how girls on some day had to have 325 IU of Gonal F. . .which freaks me out because all I have are the individual syringes with 75 IU each. . does that mean on some days I'll have to give it to myself like 5 times to get a full dose? Aside from the Repronex and Ganirilex?

I'm getting anxiety! I don't know why, but I just assumed it would only be one or two per day, at the most.

IVF is definitely nerve wracking and overwhelming especially when you see all the medication but I promise you once you get your protocol and you start stimming it is so easy. For me, I would do 3 gonal f in the am (1 shot) and then I did 3 repronex in the evening (1 shot). Both of these for me were intermuscular because I didn't absorb enough. When you go more than one vile of meds you withdraw one vile of the sodium chloride and insert it into the powder, withdraw all the liquid back into the syringe and instert into your next vile. You will continue until you have your full dose. You will do the same for the repronex. Some people have the gonal f in pen form and i think you just turn the cartridge until you get your dose. Ganarelix is pre-filled so that you just inject into your belly. No mixing is necessary. Like I said it's overwhelming at first the needles, the viles the pills and just everything that has to do with it but I promise you once you get into the swing of it-it becomes almost second nature. Freedomfertility.com has tutorial where they show you how to mix different meds and how to inject. If you are unsure your doctors are always there to answer questions and you can always FM me. i think at the most i had four injects a day - ganirelix and lovenox in the am and follistim and luveris in the pm. you can read my journal here if you want.
as far as having to do a lot of gonal - im surprised they sent you just 75iu injects. i would think for an IVF cycle you would have been ordered vials of 300 or 900ius so you dont have to change then out and do more injects.

I had thought they were just pre-filled syringes, but after looking, it appears it is in the powder form (which is a relief). So I guess I'll just have to put multiple doses in one shot (phew!)

I think I'm just psyching myself out LOL!
