Anyone else have "round ligament pain?"

I woke up with a sharp but not so painful stabbing feeling in my left groin area. When I got to work it was so bad shooting up my groin into my back I couldn't stand up straight. I am a teacher and had to have someone cover my class so I could run down to the nurse. I ended up leaving work early to go to the doctor who told me it was "round ligament pain." She said the only way to deal with it is to lay with my feel up (I'm a teacher - this is impossible fo rme) or to put a hot compress on it (which is not easy to get at work!!). Any one experience this or have anything that works to ease the pain? It was on and off progressive pain for about 2 1/2 hours then eased off. I am 11 weeks pregnant. Thanks!!

Try a maternity belt. I got one from Destination Maternity and can't walk around without wearing it. I wear it to work and then take it off when I'm home. Feel better!
