need new RE - GOT ONE!!!!!!
I am sitting in Dr B's office and was informed they do not take unitedhealthcare anymore...along with a bunch of others. I can't afford to do this out of network.
Updated: My sister used Dr Park at Columbia so I called them. I will have no insurance issues and I was able to get an appt with them for Monday morning.
Thanks for all the recs!!!!
Hopefully this will be my last Dr. I was initially doing IUIs with my GYN's office and then started to see Dr B. My appt today was to decide on my protocol and then the insurance thing happened. I just couldn't lay out all the out of network $$$ when I actually have good infertility coverage.

Where do you live/work ?
I always recommend RSofNY, i went to the Mineola office and saw Dr Trivax. They also have a Stony Brook office
i loved the convenient hours, very quick turnaround of test results, and overall friendliness and caring of the staff and dr's

Cornell!!! They are incredible..any of the RE's you willbe in great hands with!
I went to the location in the city but they have a LI location too.

Dr Licciardi at the NYU fertility center...Located on the east side in manhattan. They take untied healthcare!

Yeah I was just told today and so basically a lot of insurance co. are dropping him.
I am goign to Columbia in the city on monday for a consult because I cant afford the out of pocket costs not to mention the IVF cycle is 1/2 the cost.

Try Dr. Tortoriello at SIRM-NY. I'm pretty sure that they take United and IMHO as a former Columbia patient...are a better option with a better lab than Columbia although I do know people that have found success at Columbia. It may however take about two months to get an appt with Dr. T though.

So I assume that means he doesnt take Oxford either? Or are they technically different? I ask b/c both names are on my card; but I have Oxford; not United.

Yeah I was just told today and so basically a lot of insurance co. are dropping him.
He no longer takes GHI, though fortunately I get out of network benefits.

Columbia's price for IVF out of pocket is half the cost of Dr. B's IVF out of pocket? I was told Dr. B was the cheapest out of pocket. Im curious too, I have Oxford.

look on Columbia's website. They say the first cycle is 6950
