Is this normal?

Hi Girls, I have been having a sharp shooting pain in my right side this morning. I am only 4w and 2d.....is this normal?

I remember cramps as though my period was coming at that time.

i actually had a weird sharp pain in my right side also - it lasted for the first couple of weeks.

Its so hard to know which pains are normal or not during those early weeks - you will be experiencing a lot of very odd , strange pains and cramps in the beginning, almost all of which are totally normal - As long as there is not bleeding accompanying the pain, it's usually OK

I would say that if this sharp pain does not subside by day's end, maybe for peace of mind call your doctor

Geez...I am glad you asked this. I just found out I was pregnant last night (I est. about 3 weeks) and I have been feelings little twinges or cramping also. I am due for my period this weekend (althought I won't get it now) but I wonder if it has something to do with that. As long as there is no heavy bleeding I think your ok.

I have been having pains feeling like pulling and sharp twinges, I dont know if i would classify them as cramps though. I asked my dr. when I was there on saturday and she said that it was my uterus stretching and growing and that during pregnancy your bones even stretch out and grow to let the baby come out. She said the only time to be concerned is if you are spotting and bleeding and they you should go to the dr. for an exam to see if you are dialating. She said it is common and normal and not to get crazy about it (of course me a hypochondriac thinks the worst).
