I'm Hoping Someone Here Can Help Me
My mom was finally able to take off a few days from work to watch the kids so that DH and I could go to vegas for his B-day.
Unfortunately the flights went up and is not affordable for us.
Its supposed to be a surprise but his b-day is next week and now I have no idea where to take him. He doesn't have a passport so I'm looking to stay in the US.
Please if anyone has any suggestions on where to go that has nice weather and cheap flights or driving distance let me know I'm getting desperate. Its his 40th B-day so I really wanted it to be special especially since we've never been away without the kids

Flights to Florida are usually pretty cheap if you want warm beachy weather. But if you want something more like Vegas and you don't have to fly you can always go to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. Good luck!

I really want to take him somewhere warm so we can enjoy the beach or other outdoor activities. So I guess somewhere south of here would be best. We aren't big gamblers but figured at least in vegas we could've gone to the pool and catch some shows. I can for up to 4 days.
Any suggestions on where to stay or things to do in Miami?

what about a short cruise that leaves from miami? you can do a last minute one for cheap sometimes and at least you know all food and entertainment is included.

I heard there is a really nice Hardrock Hotel in Hollywood Florida. Also Key west is supposed to be really nice.

When are you going? Southwest started flying out of Newark to Vegas and are advertising amazing prices. It is a long drive but worth saving a few hundred dollars.
