Question about the pictures you put in frames grouped together
If you have an arrangement of frames on your wall:
are all the pictures color? Are all black and white?
Is it okay to have a frame that holds 3 pictures and have 2 b&w and one color? Or would you keep that all the same?

Re: Question about the pictures you put in frames grouped together
I've always kept them the same b/w OR color.
All of the frames are the same color as well just different sizes and mouldings... gives it a bit of character with a still uniform look.
I've since hung 4-5 more pics. I'll try to take an updated pic tomorrow. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Question about the pictures you put in frames grouped together
All of the frames are the same, but some pics are color while others are black and white. For a collage type frame, I kept the pictures the same in that.

Re: Question about the pictures you put in frames grouped together
I have consistency with the types of frames, but I hope to add to this wall over time-- and I like a mix. If it was artwork as opposed to family photos, I would feel differently.
Perspective is slightly off because of the angle of the pic.

Re: Question about the pictures you put in frames grouped together
I mix b&w & color photos while keeping the frames simple: thin black frame with wide white mattes.

Re: Question about the pictures you put in frames grouped together
I am planning on now and I also plan to mix b&w, color and non-picture items. Check out the young house love photo wall-they did a whole bunch of interesting stuff-fabric, keys, pictures, magazine cutouts etc.
ETA: All my frames are black and mostly bought at the thrift store and spray painted

Re: Question about the pictures you put in frames grouped together
I have the same style of frames in various sizes with b&w & color pics.
The 2nd picture was while we were hanging them. Just wanted to show a head on shot as well.
