If you used Borax to get rid of ants...

This is a silly question, but do you use it inside or outside the house? I have tiny ants by my windowsill and I am wondering if I should line the inside or outside with the Borax. TIA!

Debi and Fred have had problems with ants in the kitchen, ever since they moved in. Since Fred is very against chemicals, they put cayenne pepper on the floor close to the area where ants are seen. I didn't see any so maybe it works!! Mary

I think it would depend on where the ants are. If your seeing them inside our outside of your window sill.

You can use it inside as well.
Borax is non-toxic, safe to use around children and pets.
I also use it in my garden to get rid of the ant nests. There I mix it with sugar to get the ants to bring it back into the nests.

i didn't use borax but thought i'd share.. i had an ant problem recently and i bought a bottle of spectracide for termites & carpenter ants ($20 at home depot), mixed a bit with water in a spray container and we sprayed all outside near the windows and foundation, it seems to have helped a lot! Now I am only finding maybe 2 dead ants a day versus 15 plus. They also sell an indoor/outdoor spray but even when I sprayed this inside near the windows, etc they didn't seem to disappear, it was only until we used the outside stuff where we saw a difference. good luck!
