If you wear silver/platinum jewlerly ...
would wearing a bag with a chain like this clash?
I never mix silver and gold and I wonder if anyone else does and if it ever looks right.
The model is wearing all gold jewlery.
And what if your engagement/wedding ring is silver/platinum? Can you wear gold jewlery in addition.
I'm so confused

I don't think jewelry and bag hardware clashing is such a big deal. This one is a pretty big statement though... I guess I am no help, eh?
I don't know... I think I would pass on the bag just because of that very intense looking gold chain on it.

You will NOT clash! I mix it all the time.. I dont' see it as a problem AT ALL.. In fact, when things are too matchy, it bothers me because it looks like you were trying too hard.
I have a chanel bag that I wear that has gold hardware and I'll wear silver with it and sometimes gold or sometimes mix both.. no biggie

Funny you should ask.
I got a new wedding band recently and my engagment ring is set in yellow gold.
The new wedding band is a twist of yellow and white gold and the woman at the store told me that it's becoming popular now to mix gold and silver/white gold/platinum.
It actually looks very pretty on the band, and the white gold looks nice with the yellow but it's not as striking a statement as that chain on that purse.
I think anything goes really- if you can rock it, go for it!

That's how my wedding jewelry was. I wear a gold clattagh ring and my engagement ring/wedding band are white gold so DH got this necklace/earrings with gold and white gold intertwined to match.
I don't think it'll clash. I love that chain on the bag, in fact!

I love it too, I'm going to DIY it ... still in planning mode. Trying to decide whether to get silver or gold materials for it.
I have a couple bags it would look great on.
