Anyone else not getting a bedding set?

I decided not to get a bedding set because I will only be utilizing the crib bedskirt and sheet from the set, so it doesn't make sense to get one. I don't like bumpers (only the breathable ones) or comforters for obvious reasons (security / SIDS). Plus, the prices don't make sense times 3.....LOL! I am getting separates instead. It is becoming so tiring to match stuff, but I am almost done...YAY!!! I was wondering if anyone else decided to do the same and how is it going for you? You have pics?

We are doing that but are also getting a quilt and bumpers as accent pieces. The bedding set I loved was discontinued and I wanted to use different sheets anyway, so it worked out well for us. We are doing white furniture.

We registered for the zipper sheets in yellow/white gingham, with different replacement tops in solid blue and white. We also registered for one regular sheet in white with green, blue and yellow stars. We're still deciding on a bedskirt but tentatively are going for pale green and white stripe. or maybe a solid blue... I tracked down the quilt and bedskirt on clearance because they are a discontinued style we tentatively plan to use the bumper, and we will drape the quilt over the glider.

I've been thinking about not getting a bedding set as well. We'll probably get breathable bumpers and just some cute sheets. I haven't decided if I should get a bedskirt too.

not getting a bedding set. Doing breathable bumpers and sheets and maybe a crib skirt.

I didn't get one with DS and won't for this one.

With DS, I wanted red Gingham and I found a bed skirt, sheets and curtains. It was all a fraction of the price of the bedding set I got for DD that I didn't use

As a BTDT Mom and pg again I swear it's a waste of money for most people! I wish I had never done it. This baby will get seprates, and not a set. My mom wasted so much money on something I only used pieces of. Plus once we knew she was a girl I bought brand new pottery barn pink curtains at a garage sale for $9, 2 panels. There are killer deals to be had if you look around!

Thank you ladies. I added the link to my album with pics of the separates I got for the triplets nursery. Still working on the sheets and the rug.

We are not doing a whole bedding set. We got breathable bumpers, a dust ruffle, and then sheets that are color coordinated.
