When should I?
schedule an appt with an RE? Im on CD1. DH is going for an u/s Tueday to check up on the potential vericocle issue. Not sure if we will go through with any surgeries.. but my question is, Is there a better time during a cycle to visit an RE for the first time? Does it matter?
Im going to assume that even if we decide to do IVF/IUI there's no way to get the ball rolling in time for me to O... so I assume this month is a bust as well??
Thoughts?? TIA!

Re: When should I?
I would call now to try and schedule because sometimes it takes a few days/weeks to get an appt. You may need to do some additional testing before starting an official medicated cycle. I would make sure you see the doc prior to your next Day 3 because most likley they will do an US and take blood when you first start your next cycle. Good Luck!!!

Re: When should I?
It depends on the RE office. If during your consultation they do blood work and U/S you want to schedule it as close as possible to CD2-4. You probably won't jump into anything right away but it gives the doc a better idea of what he is possible working with.
Good luck!!!

Re: When should I?
I would say call for an appt. Depending on what tests need to be done it may be a few months. I say a RE on day 3 of my last cycle and then did testing and am going in on day 14 of 2nd cycle for review of tests and to decide on a protocol so we had 2 months of just trying on our own.

Re: When should I?
You would normally call on CD 1 for a CD 3 apt, but if you haven't had a consult they might not take you in for a few weeks. I lucked out with dr B and did get an apt on CD 3 and began that cycle. They just cd3 labs but no other workups. It can't hurt to call a RE now. If you call now they should definitely be able you start you on a treatment cycle next month.
