if you had an extra sono ~28w to check your placenta...
was it a quick in-and-out check or did you also get to see the baby? Is this an appt my DH should make if he can or is it more along the lines of the "pee in a cup, get weighed in, quick doppler and on your way" type appts?

you'll get to see the baby but when i had a sono at 28w you really couldn't see anything, not like the 19w sono...

Mine was only external at 28 w. It was to check the placenta previa and follow-up on the white spot on her heart. It probably took about 10 minutes.

It was external...I had it because movement seemed to be low and they wanted to check everything out...turned out i have an anterior placenta

we got to see the baby. Haven't had a sono since then :( But get another at 36 weeks
