What to do with my leftover contact lenses?
I had LASIK done yesterday and I have 4 boxes left of lenses (sealed) and don't want to throw them out? I forgot to ask the doc when I went for my follow up. Does anyone want them? (Am I allowed to just give them away?  ) They're O2 Optix, 2 boxes of each. One is PWR -5.25, BC 8.6, DIA 14.2 and the other is PWR -4.75, BC 8.6, DIA 14.2. They don't expire until 2013 and 2014.

I dont know what to you can do with the extra contacts BUT how much do you love LASIK? I had mine done almost 2 years ago and I dont know why I waited as long as I did!

Where did you buy them from? My eye doctor told me that I could try returning my lenses back to the company I purchased them from (it was online) as long as they were completely sealed and didn't have any marks on the boxes. Unfortunately, I had written "L" and "R" on the boxes :(

Mine are on stickers! I bought them from BJs though.

I did research for years. Nothing to be afraid of. I went to Dr. James Kelly of Kelly Laser Center. He was awesome. Love the entire staff. I recommend just going for a free consult to see if you are a candidate.

You can call the company Ciba Vision and they should be able to take them back. If not go to where you bought them and ask for a credit. I know at my place will will take them back for a credit. Lyons club will not take them. They only do glasses.

Its a safety issue. Would you put your rx for anti biotics on craigslist? No why because it is a RX. Contacts are an RX. Contacts if treated wrong can SERIOUSLY hurt you. treat your contacts right they will treat you right. Hey if you want I will take them at my office and get you a credit. If i can that is, PLEASE dont give them to anyone.

Hence why I'm asking. I planned on asking my doctor but forgot when I was there. Rest assure my contacts (since I was putting them in my eyes) were handled with extreme care. I plan on calling my doctor when the office opens to ask, but thank you for the offer.

Sorry to go off topic but how long did you have to wear your glasses before and how long do you have to go without makeup. I've been contemplating doing this soon but we have so many things coming up i didnt want to go makeupless and in glasses

It was 2 weeks with galsses before and 2 weeks without eye makeup after for me when I had it done but that was like 5 years ago.
Maybe see if you can donate them back to your Dr?

I have the same exact prescription. didn't think i was a candidate for lasik....thought my vision was too bad and i would still need glasses....how did it go???

DO it !! I did it... almost two months ago now.. wow time is going fast! Its awesome!! The first day is uncomfortable but worth it!! I went to Dr Donnenfeld in Rockville Center- he is highly recommended. There is a payment plan interest free.
