Question about progress! Btdt moms?

I know everyone is different and it's hard to tell exactly when you'll go into labor, but if you were 2 cm how long did you stay that way? I just was curious to see if people actually progressed or stayed that way for weeks. I know it can really go either way so I was juat curious!

I was a fingertip F O R E V E R! & I ended up being 8 days late. My friend was 2cm for about 3 weeks prior to DD and she was 7 days late but you just never know!! Hang in there!! The end is the worst!

I think it really depends on the person and the pregnancy. Some people go from no progress to labor in a day. I seem to dilate very early on and stay that way for a few weeks.

I went to the dr the day before my water broke. I wasnt dialated AT ALL you just never know .

I was 2 cm & 75% at 38 w and 3 cm & 75% at 39 w. I was still 3 cm & 75% at 39 w 3 d. I went into labor at 39 w 5 d (water never broke) and when I got to the hospital 3 hours after my contractions started I was already 5 cm & 100%. I went from 5 cm to 9 cm in ONE hour from there and DD was born a just a few hours later.

I never got to 2. I was 1cm for forever and one morning at 38 weeks my water broke and i was 1.5 cm for over 6 hours, had a c-section. Every woman is different!

My sister stayed at 2 cm for a week- a week and a half, and delivered 2 days late

I was a fingertip for about two weeks. At 40 weeks 2 days, still only a fingertip. I had an appointment scheduled for 41 weeks 2 days, but never made it because I had her that day

I think effacement tells you more than dilation - but you can go from O to labor in the course of hours, or stay at 4cm for weeks

With DS1, if I remember correctly
36wks - 1cm/90% effaced
37wks - no change
never made to 38 wk appt - it was supposed to be that night
Delivered 38w3d

DS2
36wks - 1cm/50% effaced
37wk - 1cm/60% effaced
during that wk went into false labor
up to 3cm and 70% effaced for 4 days until I was induced due to his low heart rate

At my 38 week appointmebt with DS...I was 0% effaced and not dialated. That night my water broke & I went into labor...you just never know! Good luck!

I actually had an OB appt the day I went into labor (later than night) at the appt, I was 0cm and not effaced at all and went into labor 7 hours later. So you can really go any time!

I wasn't dilated at all the day my water broke, it really is so hard to tell what will happen everyone is different!

I have been 2 cm dilated since about 35 weeks...1-2 from 35 to 37 weeks and 2 Cm from 38-present

I was dilated with my first for 3 weeks.

At my wedding my friend was 3cm. She was about 4 wks from her EDD. I kept joking for her to not give birth on my dance floor! She was a good sport and danced a lot that night. Then I kept joking with her to not give birth while I was away for my HM for 15 days. She didn't! She ended up going 1 week early. So she held on for some time there!
