do I need a crib mattress pad?
We will have a crib mattress, the zipper sheet base, a waterproof pad, and the top part of the zipper sheet.
Do we also need to register for a padded mattress pad that wraps around the mattress to go underneath all of that? I'm worried that its unnecessary with the other layers and might make the mattress too "soft" when it should be hard for an infant. Is this something better for a toddler?

I don't think os, all i have for DD is the waterproof crib mattress pad and a fitted sheet and she has been fine only 1 wet through in the last 20 months and that was 2 weeks ago.

ITA DD has never wet through anything
