ny bakeries
what are some good bakeries in manhattan? and where are they located? i need to pick something up for a party on sunday, but i have no idea where to go! thanks!

I love the cupcakes from Buttercup Bake Shop on 2nd ave and 52nd St.....they make yummy cakes as well.

Both above suggestions are good. Veniero's on 11th and 2nd is also a great Italian bakery.

doesn't really matter where, we live in midtown east, but if it's a really good place i'll travel a bit. cakes, pastries, whatever, i just want something yummy!

they are sooooo good!!!! you would never know it by the way it is decorated, but they are so good.

if you're in midtown east, DEFINITELY go here! they're cupcakes are the BEST! especially the red velvet w cream cheese
