Pavers question
I apologize if this is a repeated question but does anyone know the advantage of using Cambridge over Nickolock pavers, or vice versa.
I've been hearing such conflicting info. Some say Cambridge are way better, some say Nickolock are way better.
Confused
Thanks in advance.

Re: Pavers question
They are both great. The thing that me choose one over the other was color and style

Re: Pavers question
we used cambridge. I have a number for a GREAT installer if you are interested. He does both brands. I liked cambridge color selection.

Re: Pavers question
We are going with Nicolock. The color goes completely through the stone.

Re: Pavers question
thanks everyone!
We've had at least 6, possibly more, quotes for pavers and they all have different opinions on the pavers.
Some are Nicolock certified BUT install cambridge and actually prefer the cambridge. Some only do cambridge, some only do nicolock.
I do tend to like the color selection of the cambridge a little better but not opposed to the nicolock either.
one mason guy told me he felt that the cambridge were a little stronger.

Re: Pavers question
Unilock are the best. Second choice would be cambridge, they are less expensive than unilock.

Re: Pavers question
We had Cambridge done almost 3 years ago and they look as new as they did back then! They are coated w/ Armotec, which helps prevent fading. I love them and highly recommend them!

Re: Pavers question
Hey Andrea....My brother is a paver installer and he said they are both good pavers, however Camrbidge is better....here's why: Nicolock is made with aggregate. Basically after some wearing (a year or so depending on traffic), you will see rocks in the surface of each paver. They say the color throughout the pavers prevents that, but the stoop at my parents' house begs to differ. Cambridge is much more durable from what i've seen. Also, Cambridge has a lot of cool options. For instance, they have the King's Court Paver Collection which is like a flat stone....honestly, it's my least favorite. The Round Table Collection is the same price and has a sort of texture on top. I honestly believe these look much better than the King's Court. Then they have the Renaissance Collection...regular King's Court paver that has gone thru a tumbling process. More expensive, color is more subdued, more victorian looking. They have something relatively new called the Sherwood or Ledge Stone collection. I love the way this looks! It almost looks like tile outside. I hope this helps...if you have any questions you can fm on here or message me on fb and I will answer any questions you may have.
