I am trying to decide between registering for the Beaba or the Breeza. Does anyone have any experience with either ? Pros/Cons, comments, suggestions?Chat Icon

I am planning on making my own food too. I was going to get the Beaba but someone bought us the Baby Bullet. We used it already for my nephew a few times when he came over, and we love it.

I have heard from so many people that it's not worth it to get a fancy baby food maker. we already have a magic bullet, and if I decide to make our own food that's what I'll use. I also registered for a starter kit (books and storage stuff) on amazon.

i only registered for the food storage trays. we have a blender, chopper, mini food processor... i didnt want another appliance and i think those will work just fine.

I got the beabe for my shower with DS1, it great I got a lot of use out of it. I would say its just a glorified food processor & steamer (you could just water steam in your reg steamer pot), I do like the fact that it is small and you can leave it on the counter for many uses, however you could just the same with your own appliances you most likely already have in your kitchen - so I don't think its a necessity for making your own food, just another appliance imo.

Re: Making your own food......

I made my own food for DD and I plan to do the same for this baby. I originally wanted the Beaba but nobody got it for me and I didnt have the money for it when it came time to do the purees. It is actually so super easy to do without those things. I just used a steamer basket or just a pot on the stove and then pureed the food in my blender/food processor, froze it in ice cube trays and popped them into ziplocs. When it was time for DD to eat, I would just defrost.
The trays would come in handy I think if you didnt want to use ice cube trays. Plus I found DD was only on purees for a very short time before we moved to table food.
But i can see how the Beaba would be really handy!
