Any way to save a scorched pot?

Or do I have to toss it?

I'm so mad! (and careless) I accidently left my small Faberware pot on the stove with green beans in it- and walked away like a moron and forgot.

I came back like 15-20 min later to a horrible stench and all the water had boiled out and the pot and beans were scorching.

Any remedies to get the burnt bottom out? Or is it toast?
Of course it's the pot I use the most.

Heat up some olive oil in it and scrape it with a spatula

let some water and a little bit of dish soap boil in it for a while, it should soften it up and then you can scrub!

Hot water and load the bottom with baking soda. Let it sit for a couple hours and scrub a little. Repeat until all scorching is off the bottom.

I agree with the baking soda idea. Also, you can BOIL water and baking soda in it for awhile, then turn it off, let the water cool, and try to clean. Boiling water in it helps get up all the scorched bits on the bottom. Good luck!
