Help me out here.

My DH is pushing the idea of finding out, while I want to be on Team Green. He said then he'll know and I can remain surprised when I say he can't, he'll slip, I know it.

Did anyone have this problem? How did you resolve it?

I sort of wanted to know and my husband didn't. We are 37 weeks and team green, so he won. He was really really adamant about not wanting to know and I was iffy, he felt like going out to the waiting room to tell our parents if it was a boy or girl was his only job this whole pregnancy and he didn't want to miss out on that. He is also a pediatric resident and goes to a ton of deliveries and says that when the parents don't know it's so exciting even being in the room.

We resolved it because in the end he had better reasons and I was on the fence. It's been such an awesome experience not knowing that I won't find out for any of our subsequent pregnancies. If you can convince him in anyway do it, haha.

Could you try to compromise, not find out this time, find out next time or vice versa. I think him keeping a secret like that from you for 9 mos would be so hard.

No way no how.

Either we both know ..... or both DON'T know.

There is no way only one of us could know. I think I would start to resent my DH if he knew and I didn't.

Also, there is no way, I don't care what he tries to say, that he could keep that secret from anyone else. He would HAVE to tell SOMEONE and it would really p*ss me off that someone knew the sex before me.

Of course he would swear up and down that he didn't tell anyone, but I just couldn't believe him. Because really, how could you NOT tell? It's one of those great secrets that you are going to burst if you don't share it.
