When does dr. B usually call with beta?
I am sitting here sick to my stomach all day waiting for my beta results. When does dr. B usually get back to u with results? Does he usually wait until after hours?

I would say anytime after 4 but you should email him if you dont hear from by by then- he has forgotten to call me several times

Thanks..I have gotten calls from him early in the morning and late and night so I am just unsure when he usually gives beta results. I have been analyzing it thinking that it's probably negative and that's why he is waiting. I figured if it was positive, they would want to tell you as soon as they knew! LOL...I know, ridiculous.

I have gotten both good news and bad news at night, so I don't think that's the issue. I go to Quest for my betas at 6am, and always call the office by 4 to see if they have the results. They never do, so then I email Dr. B so he's on top of it. I have almost never found out results before 6 pm, except for my first one.

Thanks Jax. That is exactly what I did. I went to quest this morning at 6 am. I figured they would have had the results by now. Guess I have to hang in there and play the waiting game.

I actually put a complaint into Quest b/c they weren't processing the results "stat" as ordered, and someone called me and told me that for Quest, "stat" just means same day, not within hours. It's very frustrating.

Had a blood draw at Labcorp at 7am and had the results by 1.

Up to midnight  If you don't hear from them by 4, call the office. He typically calls after 6, but there was an issue with getting my results last time so he emailed me at midnight.

He called me yesterday at 6:46 pm with my beta results. I emailed him following up at 5:30. Good luck!
ETA: Mine was positive and it was later, so don't read too much into it!

I think it depends upon which Quest you go to. I go to one downtown Brooklyn and if you get there before 10...your test goes stat with the driver that picks up the stat orders at 10. The results are faxed to your Dr. by noon. If you get there between 10 and noon...the driver picks up at noon..results by 3pm.
Just a suggestion for some...maybe try to find out what time the stat pick up person comes through.

Yup, I called the office at 4, they didn't have them. I emailed him directly at 5:30, and he got back to me at 6:46 (not that I was watching the clock)  I assume he had just gotten done with patients for the day and that's why it took a bit o get back to me.
And CONGRATS AGAIN! I told you that late calls didn't necessarily equal bad news! See ya on the pregnancy board!
