So far...we are on our 4th offer...

First offer - seller took an offer that he supposedly received right before ours, for the same exact price (but buyers were using the selling agent...so they were probably favored).

Second offer - almost got to contract but there was a misunderstanding that was a deal breaker.

Third offer - we were one of four offers just 2 days after the house was on the market. Apparently, we were outbid. House will prob sell for over asking price.

Fourth offer - current situation - offer accepted, inspection done and good, we were told sellers won't be showing house anymore...now we are just waiting for sellers attorney to draw up contract...don't know what takes so long?

4 is my lucky number...I hope this one works out!

In 2004 we big on 1 house and that was the house we bought.

In 2006 we bid on 4 houses and finally got #4. I remember being so frustrated by the end...I was looking at apts online right before we found ours house because we had sold our other house and I was so tired of the disappointment.

My only advice is try not to get too frustrated...sometimes that feeling of frustration can lead you to settle on a house you wouldnt have normally gone for! And dont worry the best is yet to come!

one house before the one we bought. we were outbid.
