Do you need a travel system and an
umbrella stroller? I'm confused why I need 2 strollers?

Travel system strollers tend to be heavy.

The travel system is convenient because the car seat carrier snaps into the stroller and it makes it easy to go from car to stroller. However it is heavy, so many people opt for the snap-and-go. I started using a lightweight stroller when he could support himself better (more control of his neck and had better back strength), which was around the time he outgrew his infant carrier.
