Heartburn!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!

I feel like I'm going to die from this!!! Tums no longer works... Everything I eat/drink makes it 10000% worse then it was before. I barely slept last night because I had it during the night.. WHILE I WAS SLEEPING!!! I called my dr and the assistant told me to get Zantac 75.. Does this really help? I just took one and I still have heartburn :(

I started taking a prilosec daily... Hopefully it works! Let us know how Zantac goes!

zantac and prilosec didn't work for me.

but pepcid ac does work a little bit for me. I take 1 - 2 pills a day.

these types of pills don't get rid of heartburn immediately... but they help over time.

Have you tried to drink milk? Milk gives me some relief from the burning. Tums and Rolaids stopped working for me when i was about 25 (i'm 30 now)... so I stopped taking them for years. I've recently started taking them every now and then just because IDK what else to do. One I added the pepcid AC in the mix, the whole concoction of tums, pepcid and milk started to work better.

I also get it in my sleep. Actually, I've had major heartburn issues before getting pregnant (since I was about 17 or so)... so now they are even worse. I've puked from it and all. The strangest things give me heartburn too.

Before getting pregnant, I already had this problem and was taking 1 prilosec a day.

My OB would prefer I take 2 zantac 150 a day, she says its a safer med for preggos.

Milk does help sometimes in a pinch. I have actually gotten out of bed in the middle of the night to drink a swig of milk straight from the carton out of desperation.
