Is it possible my friend is preggo????
Okay one of my BFFs was off the pill one month.
Not TTC BUT she is late for her period.
Took one HPT and it was digital read YES.
Took a few after read NO.
Blood test was negative...
SHe is freaked bc she read online some woman do not have the pregnancy hormone and it is hard to detect.
Has anyone heard of this?
Of course for selfish reasons I want her to be preggo

ita... if shes just coming of bc its more than likely that shes just late... if the blood test was negative

I would go by the blood test. It's possible she had a chemical that caused the positive HPT.

sounds like she may have had a chemical pregnancy if she got a + on a digital test but - on all other tests and blood.
if she got a negative blood she is not (or no longer) pregnant.

My first thought is a chemical pregnancy. You lose it VERY early, so many people don't even know they were pregnant to begin with. That is maybe why the first test said pregnant.
She should go to her dr for a blood test.

I would go by the blood test. If it was negative I'd say she isn't pregnant.

IDK why but I feel like I saw an episode of "I didn't know I was pregnant" and the girl had blood tests that came up negative (along with hpt's).
How late is she??
ETA: And yes, there are some women who just never get a positive on a hpt and are actually pregnant.

I would go by the blood test...its most accurate....but it sounds like she had a chemical since the blood work is coming out negative now

I would say it's a fluke or a chemical, but I would also say if she doesn't get AF in 2-3wks to get another blood test. My 1st pg I had MANY neg tests and a neg blood testat 1 week late, but 2 wks past my period I took another test and it was +! After that the blood test was then + too That ended in a m/c, sadly, but it is possible.
