For those with an anterior placenta...
I was told today that I might not ever feel the baby kick with an anterior placenta. I have felt flutters and movements from 16 weeks to now (in my 20th) and can't wait to feel the baby kick - and for my DH to feel the baby kick.
Please share your experience...
Thanks!!

Re: For those with an anterior placenta...
I have an anterior placenta, and I didn't feel the baby until about 19w, but at 29w I feel her moving and kicking all the time, just not as much or as strong as someone with a posterior placenta. DH has felt her only a few times because it is pretty faint, but he has felt her. You WILL feel the baby, just not as strong or as often as most.

Thank you so much! That makes me feel better!

Re: For those with an anterior placenta...
i didn't feel her move until just past 20w and it actually wasn't until 28w that i found out i even had an anterior placenta when i said i was concerned about not feeling big kicks at that point. I am now 33w and I definitely feel the baby move a lot...this being my first pregnancy I cant compare it to how kicks should be but i dont have the visible foot pokes but i can totally totally feel her moving around in there.

My last pregnancy was an anterior placenta, and I felt the baby kick only with a good WHALE.

Re: For those with an anterior placenta...
I just found out yesterday that i have one and was surprised since I've been feeling the baby for a while now. I felt wiggles around 15 weeks and have been feeling light jabs since 17-18 weeks. The tech said it doesn't necessarily mean you won't feel the baby as much.

Re: For those with an anterior placenta...
had one with both pregnancies. I didnt feel 1st baby until at least 22 weeks. I am now 22 weeks with this baby and have been feeling baby for about 2 weeks. but not on a consistent basis. and even with DD when the kicks got stronger, they were never consistent. I was a nervous wreck the whole pregnancy but she was fine.

Re: For those with an anterior placenta...
I had this w/ Sean - it took awhile to REALLY feel him - probably about 25 weeks - It was never real jabbing though - even toward the end.........but I definitely felt him move, it was actually good though b/c I dind't know any different, and I was never uncomfrotable b/c of it -
It's VERY different w/ this guy though - the placenta is where it's 'supposed' to be - and this guy is kicking my *** - at 30 weeks I am getting literally jabbed by God knows what (feet? elbows? I don't know .........) and sometimes it actually hurts and wakes me up !!

I have an anterior placenta. It took me a while to consistently feel him. I felt him from time to time, but daily was after 25 weeks.

Re: For those with an anterior placenta...
I have an anterior placenta and was so worried I wouldn't feel the baby, but I feel it all the time. I am almost 25 weeks and I feel it everyday. I can even watch my stomach move. Not sure if this is how "normal" people feel the baby because this is my first pregnancy. I wouldn't worry, you will feel it. I stressed so much about it for no reason.
ETA: MY DH feels it all the time also!

Re: For those with an anterior placenta...
I have an anterior placenta with this pregnancy. I'm 20 weeks now. I started feeling flutters at 16 weeks, but not consistently. I still only feel flutters, but not every day.
I honestly don't know if I had it with DS #1. I'm assuming I didn't since I don't remember them saying that.
