52 eggs
I was at the Dr. today for my ET and I over heard the doctor talking to another couple. I know I shouldn't be listening but I couldn't help it, when they said she had 52 eggs fertilize. that has got to be a record. : shock1:

Re: 52 eggs
I would assume so. We were both at the RE office waiting to do our transfers. I can only imagine what her risk for OHSS was.

Re: 52 eggs
i feel like that would be insanely risky. why would any RE ever allow that to happen, let alone trigger it??? IMO it seems irresponsible of that RE.

Re: 52 eggs
OMG!!
I guess it happens..I googled the number of eggs and got this result....I guess it does happen in PCOS women
I have never been diagnosed as PCOS, but I have polycystic ovaries and my dh has a low count. We did our first cycle of IVF in October of 2006. They retrieved 52 eggs from me. Because of the hyperstimluation, we could not do a transfer right away. Of the 52 eggs, 26 fertilized, and four lived to day 5 for us to freeze. We went back and did a stimulated frozen cycle in Feb 2007. We transfered two embryos and 9 months later, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. We went to Fertility Centers of Illinois. They are wonderful. We had our second transfer done yesterday (11/7) and now we wait. I hope this all helps and that you have great luck!!!! Brandi
