internals
did your doctor tell you ahead of time when/if internals started or did you have to ask?
my doctor has been really good about telling me what to expect at up coming appointments but there has been no mention of internals so i am wondering if he doesn't do them...
todays appt was 33w and he said next time at 35w he was going to violate me with a qtip for the strep b test - he then added dont worry its no big deal and he said i'd have a sono at 36w but no mention of anything else...

I had my first internal at 37 weeks. I think most drs start at 36 weeks.

we're you told a head of time that's when they were starting or you found out when you showed up/.

I'll have my first one tomorrow at 36 weeks. I was told ahead of time that he'd do the group strep b test and an internal.

Yes the week before I was told my internals would start at the next appt.

my dr's didn't do internals until 39 weeks. They didn't think they were necessary any earlier than that.
and the strep test really is nothing, I didnt even know they did it.

i had my first at 34 weeks with no warning... all of a sudden the nurse was like "please remove everything from the waist down" and of course I hadn't groomed there and was really embarassed

I think my first internal was at 37 weeks. I know that I didn't know until I got there that I was having one.
Edited: Ok so out of my own curiosity, I just looked back at my old posts  . I had one done at 36 weeks when I had the Strep B test, but didn't have one at 37 weeks. Started weekly internals at 38 weeks.
