what to wear to a wedding this time of year?
I'm going to a wedding next week (April 2nd), and when I originally planned my outfit, I thought it would be warmer out by now, but after today's weather I'm rethinking what I should wear. I've only been to summer weddings, so I don't really know what guests typically wear when it's cold out. I was planning on wearing a somewhat short (above the knee) sleeveless dress with strappy heels, and no stockings. Will I look underdressed? I was considering wearing the dress with black tights and pumps, but I don't want to look overdressed either. Advice please! TIA!

I was in my friend's wedding the weekend after New Years and it was snowing. Most of the guests wore dresses like you described...I only saw one girl with black stockings on. I thought they all looked appropriate at that was COLD...you are inside I think it's fine!

I say wear what you were planning on wearing, and maybe bring a nice pashmina or cardigan to wear until you warm up. I would also maybe change the shoes - I wouldn't wear a strappy sandal yet......maybe a peep-toe, but definitely not a sandal.
