Alternative to microwaving cold cuts...
Fry them in a pan The other day I made fried bologna, and today I had a ham and cheese and I heated the ham up in the pan first and it got all brown. Just so you know! I feel like steamy cold cuts gross me out!

Re: Alternative to microwaving cold cuts...
I honestly eat cold cuts as is. I know I'm going to a busy deli, & there is little to no chance of catching listeria. It's only when you go to a slow deli where the machines and meat have been sitting out all day is there a chance.
I read we have a greater chance at getting salmonella poisioning.

I know, but I would rather just heat them for my peace of mind.

Re: Alternative to microwaving cold cuts...
I do this with roast beef even when not preggo...
Heat up some gravy, add the roast beef and simmer for a while...serve over egg noodles....
Or sautee the roast beef with cheese (and onion if you want) and make a cheesesteak
ETS - the gravy thing can work with turkey too, just serve with stuffing
