Flying with meds

Just curious if anyone ever went on a plane with meds and what happens. My husband and I were invited to a cousins Bat Mitzvah in North Carolina. I got the ok from Linda at Dr. B's office to go. She said she will give me a note for the meds. I have the fridge in the hotel room since we fly in late Thursday night and I will be starting Lupron on Friday morning. Im nervous about booking the flight and it's coming up. I feel more comfortable bringing the meds on the plane with me instead of under the plane so Im wondering if thats possible. My fear is that my luggage will get lost and then I will be in a panic. I just don't know if it's worth it to go however my anniversary is the weekend after and I really would love to get away and go before we start stims and everything else. It would only be for the weekend.
Thanks

I have traveled with lupron 2x, no big deal. Bring it with you on the plane and when you go through the scanner, just take it out of your bag and let them know you have injectible meds.

Re: Flying with meds

the one time i had to fly with meds i decided to send them in the mail to where i was going, instead of having to deal with security. luckily we were staying with family so when i mailed them a box of lovenox and PIO syringes it wasn't weird Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon . if i were staying in a hotel i would also see if i could just mail it to myself first to not have to deal with the security gates. but i also didnt check any luggage on that trip - if i was checking it i woudl've probably just packed it.
