Weight Gain Question
Has anyone gained more in their first trimester than their second?
Just curious, because from what i've read the normal weight gain is about 3lbs for the first trimester But at 7 weeks, i've already gained 3-4lbs. I'm not trying to be a pig, but i am seriously hungry. Yesterday, i tried to eat a little lighter, and my stomach was growling when dh and I were watching tv..he was screaming at me to eat something!

Re: Weight Gain Question
I hope so too! I've been extremely hungry also. Plus at night I've been extremely queezy and the only thing that makes me feel better is eating bread!

Re: Weight Gain Question
I hope so too. I'm at 6 weeks and can not stop eating. I have been trying to keep it healthy (granola, cereal, fruit) but still. I'm constantly putting something into my mouth because I'm hungary.
On the other hand, I can't seem to ever keep dinner down and I know cereal and fruit works, so it might be equaling out.

Re: Weight Gain Question
Everyone is different, I say just listen to your body, it knows what it wants/needs. I'm 22 weeks and gained a lot more than I anticipated already but my doc says I'm doing great. As long as you're not eating mass quantities of unhealthy foods you should be ok.

Re: Weight Gain Question
Stop reading stuff!!!!
Everyone gains the weight they need to to support the baby. I have friends that gain 50/60lbs with pregnancy and then there are people like me that gain barely anything.
I know it can be nerve wracking, but your body really does what it needs to and there is no way around it!

Re: Weight Gain Question
Oh my goodness I am so happy you posted this! I feel like I have gained some pounds already and Im only 6 weeks...today 3 people asked me if I was pregnant I was so embarrassed that I wanted to say yes but it is def too early for me to share with those people. I know I went into this pregnancy with alot more weight than I wanted to do, but in the past week I have noticed my jeans are really really tight, I could barely breathe
