Has anyone ever gone from blonde to red?
I've always, always, always LOVED red hair and am thinking about going that route. I love warm golden red's but I'm not sure if I can get away with that color with my fair skin and blue eyes. Anyone know a GOOD color person who has experience with reds? I'm in the Huntington area. TIA

I have a great colorist but she's in Queens.  Martina from Celtic Hair Design. Buttt, I went from blonde to red (an at home job when I was like 17) and it came out very badly. I looked like Vitamin C and not in a good way. You have to be really careful going from blonde to red.

I've gone from blonde to dark burgundy red.. and then back to blonde.. and then back to dark red again (over a space of 10 years)
going from blonde to red has to be done with a good colorist, and you may need to do it in more than one session - i've seen it done where the colorist did brown, then the red on top of that so it didn't go orange.
all depends on how well your hair takes color too.
sorry.. don't have a recco for you. my guy was in the city and then moved upstate.

I did!! I LOVED it! I am also very fair skinned, blue eyes, and it looked awesome! I had a lot of red underneath and throughout, but then some caramel, and blonde highlights. I stayed red for almost 2 years, and gradually am going back to blonde, just for a change.
I say go for it. if you hate it, you can always load up on highlights!

I went from naturally red/light brown, to blonde (full head of highlights for a few years) and a few months ago to DARK brown with an Auburn undertone (that took two steps).
Stayed dark for a few months then lightened the brown to more red and will start the process of going back to blonde in a few weeks.
I am fair skinned but have dark eyes.
I love my colorist. Trust her with everything (when I first wanted to go dark she had me go in two steps to be sure (1) I was going to like the change (2) we didn't overprocess too quickly).
She is in East Rockaway if you want to make the trip I think she is completely worth it.
