Queens girl moving to Long Island...?
We are thinking of moving to Franklin Square. Living in the Whitestone area is just not an option anymore.  $$$$$ Anyway, we looked at a couple of houses in Franklin Square because its not to far from my family in Queens. Anyone live there? And how are the Schools?

I don't live there but I have family who live in Franklin Square, West Hempstead and Garden City South -- all attend Franklin Square School District... from elementary to high school and some graduates.
They are all really happy with the district. Good luck!

I grew up in Elmont and my mom moved to FS 3 years ago - she loves it! The schools are good, my little brother went to Washington Street and now he's in Carey and doing really well. He's in advanced classes and plays basketball - he loves his teachers and his coaches!

We live in Whitestone too (renting) and will be house hunting this weekend...looking at Bethpage, East meadow, Levittown etc...
Like most neighborhoods, F.S. has its bad parts and good parts.
