cost of a 3d sono? did you do one?

What do these cost (especially in NYC, although willing to go to LI if the differential is huge)?

I was thinking $100-200 but my coworker just told me he heard they were $700-800!!!

We were thinking about doing one in mid to late third tri, but now I'm having second thoughts, especially since I know the lab where I'll have my 20w sono has 3d and can switch it on for a minute and give us a pic.

did you/will you do a 3d sono? any regrets?

i did it at 32 weeks and got nothing...no pics, no dvd, he is an uncooperative baby! lol

We did it at impact in east meadow, though I was not a huge fan of the place or people there most people have had good reviews. They had packages ranging from 135 and up... so thats a lot less then the 700 that people have told you.

my office charges $50 to print them.

I had it done at Impact in East Meadow. It was $150 I believe. We had a lot of problems the first time because Nugget was NOT cooperative, but we went back a week later (at no cost since we had so many problems the first time) and got a ton of great pictures (like my avatar). We also got the DVD with it. That was great becasue we were able to show it to my MIL and she got to see him wiggling around. Funnily enough DH and I were against it at first, but my mom really wanted us to go (so she could come with us ), and we ended up being so glad that we did it!

My office charges only a few hundred. like 200 or 300. And that's for the full 3D sono session.

Def NOT 700!! that's insane!!!

At my regular visits when I had a sono, they would flip the 3D on for you and print some pics for free. But that was also earlier on and so it wasn't as clear as a 3D sono would be at say 32 weeks along!

they also have other places, not dr offices, you can go to for just a 3D sono that are about 200.

My OB charges $100 for it. We went this past Tuesday but the baby was not cooperating at all. We were refunded.

My ob has the machine and doesn't charge extra for it. Or he might but insurance covers it.

Wow, I'm kinda shocked to see this post...I had no idea that they even charge extra for a 3D sonogram. I've actually had one every 4 weeks so far along with my regular sonogram. I think its amazing, but if I had to pay extra for it I wouldn't.

im a little weirded out by the whole 3d sono thing. the pics look beautiful, but i dont think i will do one

My office charges $175 I think. To me it wasn't worth it. Those pics weird me out and look nothing like the baby most of the time. I personally thought it was a waste.
