first sono

Had my first sono today and it wasn't anything like what I've seen in movies and on tv. I was totally stressed out cuz the technician wasn't saying anything. I was expecting them to be like- here's your baby! and look here's the heartbeat!! BUt when she was saying nothing it completely freaked me out. I had to go to the hospital to get it done so my dr wasn't even there. Then she said she needed to talk to the radiologist and that they would call my dr to see what she wanted me to do...When the nurse at my drs office called me she told me that they saw the sac and were able to see the heartbeat. I was SO relieved. I've been having spotting so I've been especially nervous. I definately want to change drs though. I don't want to go to a hospital for every sono and I definately want someone who's gonna tell me what's going on while they r doing everything. I'm beyond relieved though

id change too. that's not a good story.

i was pregnant twice. neither time did i have a sono like that at all.

and i never had to go to the hospital for the sono.
if you were to stay with this dr would you have to have all your sono's at the hospital?? it just seems odd to me.

i would 100% switch. not cool in my book. sorry.

I know! I don't want to make a rash decision when switching though so I'm doing some research on hospitals I want to deliver in first. I have another sono next week and my first pregnant appoint with the nurse practioner in my drs office right after that. I can't wait to change practices!
