Fertilization Report ?

Hi Ladies,
I am doing my first IVF. I had my ER yesterday. They retrieved 15 eggs and I got the call that 10 were mature and 7 fertilized. I was expecting more than that. Is this a good number???? I am scheduled for a 5dt on Friday, but dr. said to be on stand by for a 3dt on Wednesday in case embryos start arresting. This is very overwhelming!! I'm praying that it all works out. I guess all we really need is 1.

I think you have a great number since there were 10 mature ones. They can't really tell the embryo quality til day 3 because they are still expanding. By day 3 if they have a good amount that are 8 cell and not fragmented (the grade) they will probably push you til day 5. Good luck!!! Try and relax 7 is a great number!!!

Sounds like you're on your way....7 is a great number!!!
My cycle was similar to yours: they retrieved 16 eggs....15 were mature and 8 fertilized.

Thanks for the replies ladies. Only 5 of the 7 divided. Dr. decided to do a 3dt today. We put back 1 perfect 8 cell, 1 perfect 7 cell and 1 good 6 cell. The remaing two arent looking great, but they'll continue watching them. Onto the two week wait. Actually, 10 day wait :) But who's counting? Thanks again for positive responses.
