Just need to vent...
DH is driving me nuts about daycare! We are going to go with Tutor Time, but my location at work is getting switched and there will now be a Tutor Time across the street from both our jobs so we just need to narrow down which one we will go to. As well, we keep going back and forth between 3 and 5 day care. If we go with 3 day, then I will have to work every Friday night (our late night at work) and every Saturday (only until about 1, but still annoying to do when I can be home like every other weekend KWIM?).
At first he was all "Oh we need to do 3 day it will save so much money". Then he saw just how much the difference was(n't) and was all "Well I can't guarantee being able to have the one day off every single week because I have to fill in at work like once a month (minimum)". We were also discussing Friday nights. Either we would need to have one of our parents pick up the Friday nights that I have to work (which would be pretty much every other one), or DH would have to switch his early night at work (since his job is open until 8:30) to Fridays. He was saying that he could probably do that (and if we go with 3 day care, he would have to because I would have to work every single Friday night).
I was talking with him today about the possibility of switching his early night and he's like oh I can't guarantee that, it can't be a requirement because that would require his boss to switch his early night. Now, I'm looking at the pricing on the second Tutor Time we're looking at, and their 3 day program is about $15 a week cheaper than the other one, making the savings somewhat significant now. I feel like we are going to restart this entire 'conversation' about 3 vs 5 day all over again
I just need him to be concrete on something, not say that it wouldn't be a problem and then be like oh no that won't work. Can you guarantee the Friday nights and the one day during the week? If not, I don't care how much money it is supposed to save, we can't do the 3 day program. And don't tell me it is ok today and then next week act like I'm crazy for thinking that we have a solution. Stop flip flopping!!! I feel like I'm going to be very tonight.
On top of it, he has a bad cold or something right now, so he just keeps complaining to the 38 week preggo about how tired he is and how he doesn't feel well. Seriously, pick a new audience dude!
If you made it this far, you deserve a medal Thanks for letting me vent!!

Re: Just need to vent...
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......its situations like those where I wish DH would just say to me "You know what, whatever you think is best let's just do" but DH likes to be "involved" in all big decisions so it would never happen. Instead just a lot of
So, I empathize!
