Is that used instead of a infant bathtub?

Re: do i really need this?

I depends how you intend on bathing baby. I have this but never used it (and just relized I never returned it either). I bought a clear plastic basin and put a sling inside of it. I used this until DD was about 9 months old. Then I bought one of those blow up tubs that I put inside of my tub.

Here is a pic of the sling. I bought the plastic basin at target and used it on the counter in my bathroom next to the sink.

Re: do i really need this?

That tub pillow was one of my FAVORITE ITEMS EVER !!!!!!!!!!!

I also agree that it depends on your tub setup and what you have. IT so happened that my mom got us a HUGE baby tub from IKEA Chat Icon so this pillow evened out the situation perfectly. the baby didnt wiggle around or fall through our arms/grip and the pillow fit perfectly into the tub.
its great to place the baby down and not worry about him/her slipping and sliding, I LOVED This thing.
I bought my sister one when she had a baby, and I plan to buy a new one within the next month (Thanks for the reminder Chat Icon ) for the next baby. It just worked for us perfectly.

ETA: If your baby tub has a good grip/comfy spot for baby, that he/she wont slip out of your hands, you may not need this. and its close to $20, so you might be better of returning it, depending on what tub you have.Chat Icon

Re: do i really need this?

I didn't have a baby tub. I used the safe bather in my regular tub for both kids

I also use the sling. It was I think $6 or $7.
