how do you know if its the baby you are feeling?
I have some stomach issues that cause phantom pregnancy symptoms: crazy bloat that makes me look much bigger than my real belly is (it shrinks back in the morning but gets huge at night) and weird "feelings" in my belly
I'm pretty sure it's too early for these feelings to be the baby especially because I can sometimes feel them from outside my stomach as well, and I know its too early for that, but it's frustrating because I feel like I will never know what is the baby and what is my stomach issues. I guess I need to wait for a BIG kick or look on the sono and see if I can feel kicks that coincide with the baby's movements.

How many weeks are you? I always had stomach issues and I new when I felt the baby. It feels different. Almost like a little tap inside your belly or a flutter. I didn't feel anything till I was 17 weeks.

Personally, that was too early for me. I think the first few times you feel it, you don't even realize that you are feeling it. Then one day you realize that what you thought was a fleeting feeling has been happening quite frequently and unlike anything else. You rule out what it can't be and the only thing it CAN be is the baby.
Also, in a way, it does feel like gas that you might get before you fart but minus the fart.
