Beef Casserole Recipe
On Sundays, I prepare dinner for Monday & Tuesday and leave directions for DH since I get home very late both of those nights.
I made a beef casserole...with beef in a cream of mushroom + French onion soup sauce. The directions say to cover it with foil and put it in the oven for three hours at 350 degrees.
Is that correct? For some reason, foil in the oven for that long sounds like it could be dangerous. Any other suggestions as to how I can have DH cook this tomorrow night without burning the house down?

Re: Beef Casserole Recipe
Keep the foil on, it will be fine. There is no danger with it being on for that long. To give you an example, I cover my turkey for several hours at that temp.
Your recipe sounds great! Did you use a whole roast or some type of strips of beef? Would you mind sharing your recipe?

Thank you!
I used two pounds of beef chuck. I mixed a regular sized can of low sodium cream of mushroom soup with 10.5 ounces of French onion soup, and then I poured the mixture over the beef.
As per the original post, it'll be cooked for 3 hours covered at 350.
