My sister got a sugarglider!
For her birthday from my mom. And really- she has GreenFreak to thank for it! lol! After the QOTD last week about what kind of exotic pets we would have, I mentioned sugarglider. My sister had been looking at Pomeranian puppies for her birthday present but my mom wasn't entirely on board. We had two dogs (our pomeranian and collie) both pass away in 2010 and my mom just isn't ready for another dog yet. So I suggested to my sister that a sugarglider was a good compromise and it might even help my mom heal. They were both all for it! Anyway, the thing is adorable. He's (*well, we think it's a he) is just under a year and was adopted from someone who can no longer care for him. His name is Taz since they are distantly related to Tasmanian Devils. He's so tiny but really active and not shy or scared at all. He was sniffing my hands and taking apples from my sister. We even got to see him glide!
ETA: After DH heard about them (and probably b/c he knew I was p!ssed off at him lol!!) said we could get one, too!

Congrats!!!! One of my friends has one and it's adorable - she ended up with two actually!!!
