embarrased about my belly...

I gained alot with DD and by the end my belly looked like roadmap of stretch marks, DH said it looked like she tried to claw her way out. Anyway, i was so out there that i was left with alot of loose skin, Standing up my belly looks like a normal pregnant belly but laying down, it giggles, moves all around and is not hard in the least like it was with DD at this time. My preggo belly almost disappears when i lay down. I had a littl belly to start but im not obese or crazily overweight...

My level II is coming up this month and i feel like the ultrasound thing she uses to go over my belly will get lost, DH hasn't seen it when i lay down, with DD i had a perfectly shaped preggo belly, i hope it won't be like this the entire pregnancy....it's embarassing...

This is my first baby and I was a little heavier than I had wanted to be when I got pregnant. I had the same thing where I looked preggo standing, but not so much when I laid down. That finally changed around 24ish weeks.

im not saying that you arent describing your belly right, but could it be that you think it looks worse than it really is? i too had a little belly already before getting pregnant and whenever the tech would bounce on my belly with the sono thingy i would feel so stupd cuz my stomach would jiggle everywhere. i felt so fat and lumpy when she does that.
i'm sure these techs and doctors have seen and dealt with it all...including worse than what you are giving them to work with. and im sure they find a way to get the info they need and dont judge the patients cuz every girl reacts different to pregnancy ya know

My belly was like that too in the beginning - almost exactly like you described, but it got harder and more round as the weeks went on. I still have a little loose skin all the way down on the bottom, which is right above my c-section scar, but other wise it is tight and hard.
I also go no new stretch marks this time, so although you see the remnants of the old ones, it doesn't have that "trying to claw out" look.
