Food for diabetics

Any recommendations? My DH is a diabetic and Im finding it impossible to find good recipes for diabetics. Any suggestions?

I'm diabetic, but I cannot use artificial sweetners, so I don't bake anything special. I did find a link you might be able to use, from Mens Health. Mary

I'm diabetic. My best advice is don't do a lot of tomato based items because they raise blood sugar. Also try not to overdue proteins because its hard on the kidneys.

I got a spiral slicer and make zucchini spirals instead of pasta.

I also make lasagna with eggplant instead of noodles.

Using whole grain pastas are much better too.

My mom is also diabetic and swears by the south beach diet cook books.
